Summary:
Policy objective: PO2 – A greener, low-carbon transitioning towards a net zero carbon economy and resilient Europe by promoting clean and fair energy transition, green and blue investment, the circular economy, climate change mitigation and adaptation and risk prevention and management.
Specific objective: SO7 – Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity, and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution.
POSEIDONE is one of the three projects of strategic importance envisaged by the Programme and it is addressed to the functional area of the Northern Adriatic Sea stretching from Chioggia to the end of the Slovenian coast, with the main objective of promoting local development on the basis of common needs and challenges and through interventions in three different areas: the protection of nature and biodiversity, the development of green and blue infrastructures (in Natura 2000 sites and in the agricultural sector) and the reduction of tourist pressure on natural parks.

The partnership is composed by 13 partners leaded by Gruppo di Azione Locale Venezia Orientale – VeGAL. CNR-ISMAR is participating to the project with a collaboration agreement stipulate with Regione Veneto, partner of the project.
