Summary:
This project aims at imaging, recognizing, and defining relationships between glacial drifts deposited during glacial regression and late-glacial re-advance phases, and marine sediments deposited after the LGM. Reconstructed geomorphic features will be sampled and dated by conventional radiometric methods (14C, U/Th, Surface Exposure dating with cosmogenic nuclides), to extend the onshore record to the submarine environment in key sites where marine terraces and beaches were exposed and uplifted by the post-glacial isostatic rebound.
